did you fix them all?

Post » Sun Apr 24, 2011 10:08 pm

from the patch notes:

Fix: Controls temporarily disabled after reloading Cowboy Repeater while crouched

it was not a problem with the cowboy repeater and it was not caused by crouching.

it was a problem with ALL weapons that reload individual cartridges and it happens WHENEVER you reload the last cartridges while moving

-357
-all shotguns (except riot)
-all lever guns

(have not tested the Gnd.rifle or Gnd.launcer)

The ones I tried are fixed (cowboy repeater, lever action shotgun and .357 revolver). However I have a strange animation bug after the patch, and others are having more serious problems. See my post http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1139389-lever-action-animation-bug-after-patch/.

I'm having this issue with the 357 too after the 1.2.0.285 patch (steam)

I can reproduce it every time on my machine.

With a fully loaded 357, fire one bullet, then reload.

After reloading, I cannot enter aim mode or holster weapon until clicking attack once (Lmouse) - this first click also doesn't cause the weapon to fire either.

after clicking attack once, the gun returns to normal.

This is extremely annoying as it worked fine before the patch (the only issue I had pre-patch was random lockups near the prospectors den)!

No no no, the problem is you're misreading the patch notes. Clearly they meant that the problem was with weapons functioning after reloading. They've fixed that issue by making the Cowboy Repeater and similar weapons unusable, as they were in the original design document. Obviously they were never supposed to work. All is now well.

The only affected weapon I've really used since the patch is the Trail Carbine, and it still causes me problems when reloading.

Same, I only had this problem a few times with a shotgun before the patch.

Now it happens all the time with the .357 repeater. I can't shoot, aim, holster, etc.

I'm noticing some more things now after playing it longer. Right now the only lever action or single round loaded gun I'm using is the lever action shotgun. Sometimes after reloading, if I'm moving while reloading, I get stuck moving that direction. It's still sort of like the old bug where I can't holster the weapon, bring up the pipboy, switch weapons, etc. for several seconds then it goes back to normal. Also sometimes when I bring up the iron sights after reloading the gun, the weapon is pointing up in the air. It only does it the first time after the reload though.

I had this problem before and after the patch so no change for me. A bit annoying as the hunting shotgun is one of my favourite weapons. Another interesting gliutch I have found is that when reloading a lever-action weapon with insufficient ammo to completely fill it the reload animation continues indefinately until i click fire. I though maybe the game was allowing me to load in an unlimited quantity of magical invis-bullets, but apparently its just an animation glitch :(

I just found the pump action hunting shotgun today, and it is a mess. I had been breaking down 12g shells when I found them and converting them into 20g slugs. I happened to have 6 12g shells to try out. The magazine holds 5, so after I fired those 5 and it went to reload the last shell, the reload animation kept going and going and going. I also notice that is has the opposite effect of the original bug. If I reload it while sitting still, I can't bring up the iron sights or fire it until I move forward first. Moving forward is the only way to get it to work again, if I strafe to the side or move backwards it stays stuck.

I have the same issue with the hunting shotgun. I've e-mailed Bethesda but haven't got a reply yet. My game ran fine for 17 hours before this 1.2 patch hit and now the whole game has gone wonky. I haven't tried the cowboy repeater yet but if it's like you all say, then I'm sure it's gonna be glitched too.

I had no problems with these weapons before the latest patch. Now I get the 15 second time out and the pip-boy doesn't work and all that. I haven't tried other weapons since I've been using the rifles since the beginning.

I sure hope they fix this soon.
