What really annoys me, is this problem I've been dealing with, and have experienced quite a few times in playing the other casinos. Every time I win an amount that means one of the guys runs up to me to give me a reward, I always try to save real quick BEFORE he talks to me, because roughly 30% of the time, the game will crash.
Seems, this patch didn't exactly fix much in the casinos,
What really annoys me is in all of Fallout NV, besides dozens of quests being glitched, the other main problem is if you are in one of the 3 strip casinos, the game tends to crash a lot.
Is it so much to ask that they fix !@#$%^ problem with this so called big patch? The Strip area is simply so goddam bugged, it's ridicules. Hell, I won't even use the Lucky 38 to "store" my stuff, or leave any of my companions there because I've heard of so many horror stories of some companions attacking each other, or disapearing. I still use Novac as my only base where I keep all of items, since it seems to not be glitched over there.
Anyways, sorry for the rant guys. It's just so annoying, to pay $50 for a game, and it being so bugged.
I was able to solve the game (before this patch came out), but literally what I ended up doing to avoid getting any quests into an unsolvable state, so each quest I got, I ended up doing research on (in the Fallout wiki) and read the bugs section as to know what to avoid. I should NOT have to do that to avoid any major bugs.
Oblivion and Fallout 3 use the same engine, and yeah Fallout 3 had bugs, but compared to NV? It was flawless. And Oblivion had a few occasioanl CTD (like Fallout 3), but it was NEVER even close to being as bad as NV.
If I were Obsedian/Bethesda, I would go right back to the drawing board, because this patch plain svcks....
I really got my hopes up and this patch would fix a lot, but when I launch the game after the new patch and in UNDER 1 MINUTE I ALREADY CTD, that tells me this patch svcks.
I am running a very fast system, clean Windows setup, plenty of ram, etc..., so it's not something with that. Plenty of other games seem to run very well, for hours and hours and don't crash (Hmmm, Bioshock 1 and 2, Half Life 2, BF2BC, Left for Dead 1 and 2. These are all games I've played a lot of, and funny, they seem to not CTD.....
