Treasure of the Serra Madre Movie

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 12:50 pm

First off, not there not making an adaptation to Fallout's DLC. I was actually just looking for a movie to watch at my local movie theater and found "Treasure of the Serra Madre," which is an old Bogart movie. Its one of those see the movie the way it was meant to on the silver screen type deals. I was just wondering if any of you have seen this movie and whether it tracks (even slightly) with the Fallout DLC Dead Money. From what I can tell a couple of guys are contracted to build somthing in mexico and the whole story revolves around hills that are still full of gold.

Is there any relation to the movie and the DLC at all, or am I seeing things. :D

Also, was unsure whether to post this in NVDLC spoilers section or general discussion...if its in the wrong place mod please move.

Both the book and the movie were source material for DLC1. :)

Read the book long ago for Van Buren, then read it again for DLC1 and watched the movie 2-3 times. A lot of the references of the locales inside the casino are callbacks to the book.

That's one of my favorite movies of all time. Love Humphrey Bogart's performance and the story. Still haven't gotten around to reading the book yet, but I will make sure to get that done.
