So... why is gambling in the casinos so awful in this game? There is no profit to be had. The slots only ever land on the lines, and the roulette tables always land on whatever I didn't bet on.

But this I figured I could just blame this on them being ENTIRELY games of luck, but what really frustrates me is the Blackjack.
I know how to play blackjack. I do well everywhere except this game.
The dealer ALWAYS gets 20 or 21. When he gets 18 or 19, I have 18 or 19. It's always "Break even" or "Lose chips".

The Luck stat actually does have an effect. I think it's easy making money through blackjack with 5 luck minimum.

I find the gambling to be too rewarding tbh.
Granted i have 7 luck, but still. I get very lucky on the roulette.

My fastest 50k was like 3 minutes, my fastest 100+k was 15.

also they could of put in a perk or something related to gambling....

it's a roleplaying game, that's how it's supposed to work. You don't think gambling in real life revolves around luck/chance, btw? Heh.

There is a perk related to gambling --> intense training--> luck.

In all seriousness, roulette has one of the highest payouts in real life casinos, I just hate the game personally. The gambling is based on your luck stat. With max luck I was playing Blackjack, doubling down on 20, and getting an Ace, just to see how luck would factor in.

It's incredible what a good luck score will do in blackjack. There were times that I would 'intentionally' sabotage my hand just to see what would happen, and the result was the dealer typically drew an impossibly bad hand.

Stand on 12? Sure, Dealer has 15, draws a king, bust. You win.

Hit on 19? Draw a 3, enjoy your winnings.

Luck and Intelligence are easily the two strongest and most beneficial stats in the game.

Luck of 7 or maybe 8 and I cleaned up tonight in Freeside's casino. 200 caps/spin on the slot machine (bought only 2000 caps worth of chips) and it didn't take long before I hit a 16k payout (which boots you out of the slot machine screen).

Not long... as in "first spin". I had tried earlier in the night with 6 luck and it wasn't enough, so I bought the Naughty Nightwear from elsewhere in Freeside (you have to shop around).

i have 9 luck and today i went into gamoras for the first time got 100 chips walked out a half hour later with 6700 from slots. seems like an ok profit to me. but i kind of think black jack is rigged also IMO .i think festus was cheating also lol
