Ok, I just finished the quest where I get the supplies for the filtration system. I talked to McNamara and he gave me the key to the safehouse. I then talked to him about joining the Brotherhood. He gave me the mission to Black Mountain. Then, when I try to leave the bunker, it says that I need a key to open the outside door and that I cannot pick it. What is up with that? I have the latest patch, at least I think I do. I have version 1.2.0.314. Any ideas on this?

Oh, if this makes a difference, because it didn't before, it is like 6 am in the game.

You can unlock the door with the console. After you enter the console, select the door and type unlock.

What terminal? Where is this terminal that I can access? The only one I have seen so far, which is red option for me to "hack" into, is up in the security office, which seems to have someone in it at all times.


Ok, just went through the entire complex and there are several consoles I can access. Two are for self destruct. Many are for the database. And there are three others I can access. One in the security office, one in the medical bay and one in what seems to be a console room. I hacked into the three consoles and all they contain are personal logs. There is no option to unlock the outside door. So, if you can tell me which console unlocks the door from the inside, I would appreciate it.


As it seems, the bug here seems to be that when I am given the key to the BoS safehouse, the other key is either removed or replaced by the new key, at which point it doesn't allow me to leave the bunker. Since the lockdown is no longer in effect, either this requirement of a key should be removed or there needs to be two categories for keys that allow the player to keep both keys, like the two colored keys in Vault 19 I think it was.

No the command console for the gamebryo engine. The ~ key is the default to bring it up.
