I very much want to play FONV but have been waiting on patches due to how buggy it seems. Curious if folks who've patched feel that the game is stable enough (ie, not perfect, just not hair-pullingly buggy and crashing) to buy. A few co-workers playing the PC version actually stopped due to broken quests, slowdowns, and CTDs, so I'd rather avoid that level of frustration.

I bought the game on release day for PC and have experienced absolutely no major bugs, game breaking or otherwise. Of course, that's just me.

The biggest bug that I've encountered since the game was released (bought it on release day) has been the Cowboy Repeater bug, which so far appears to have been fixed.

I would say yes, go ahead and get it.
