Where's a good location for a base around Vegas?

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 8:10 am

I'm just exploring the outskirts of Vegas. What I want to do first is find a house or room I can stash my stuff and lay some items out (which is something I really enjoy doing) so I need some shelves as well as a bed. Where would I find such a place? Is there somewhere in Freeside?

Thanks.

Does it have to be outside? You get access to pretty swank digs inside Vegas for almost nothing.

I haven't got inside just yet, and I really want to get settled.

Thanks I'll have a look. That's in Freeside right?

Can you get it fairly quickly, without doing any quests first or anything? If you can tell me without giving too much away what should I do first once entering the strip?

Cheers.

You get it almost immediately after you get into the strip. The only requirement is that you talk to Mr. House- this involves simply going to the Lucky 38, talking to victor, and going inside and talking to him. You get a suite in which you can have all of your followers wait for you when they're not being used.

Thanks matey.

Is the Lucky 38 easy to find? Assuming I'm entering from Freeside.

Do you mean the strip? I meant the Lucky 38 once you're in the strip.

I like the hotel room at Novac. It's convenient to get to, and there is a work bench across the road.

The Lucky 38 has too many loading screens you have to go through to get to the room.

Yeah that would be a problem. It's got to be convenient to nip in and out of.

I found an empty farmhouse way to the north of the strip just before you get to the mountains but there's no water and not enough shelf space. A work bench would be handy too.
