Should I start Over?

Alright so I've spent about two or three hours on one character. So far here's his SPECIAL build...
S - 7 ( weight + more damage + ability to equip heavier equipment )
P - 10 ( in fallout 3 the energy weapons was a huge hit )
E - 5 ( love endurance but I don't plan on going full on it yet )
C - 3 ( had to lower something )
I - 5 ( here's why my question is! )
A - 5
L - 5

I went ahead with that and I just recently found out that I'm a dumb ass. I just realized that if I put points into Intelligence I would've been given bonus SKILL POINTS every level! Is this as important as energy weapons + strength?!

I want to know, do you guys suggest I start over from the beginning ( I can skip chats + cut scenes now that I know what to do ) and raise my intelligence? I mean does intelligence even give you enough skill points to make a difference?

What do you recommend I do?

Also, when I could choose traits I chose NONE. I was thinking long and hard about the Wild Wasteland trait but I was worried it might change the gameplay in some way. Also, I heard you lose access to specific guns ( gauss rifle ) and you gain access to others ( alien blaster ).

Do you guys think I skrewed up my character and that I should spent points intelligence? Or better yet, do you guys have some recommended special builds? Thanks!

Not necessarily. You'll level up your skills more slowly, but by the time you hit level 30 they'll almost all be maxed anyways. Tried this in FO3 as well: set my int to 3 (usually set to 9 so I can max it with just the bobblehead). By the time I hit lvl 20, all my important skills were 100 and I was just throwing points into skills I don't use (melee, etc.)

Wow okay thanks, now I'm still thinking about starting over though for two reasons:
1) I have 10 points into perception, when the max is 9 + the bobble head
2) I don't have any traits turned on..

Well, NV has no bobbleheads. I meant that as an example for Intelligence.

Spoiler

There ARE implants, but they cost an arm and a leg (pun intended).
