I can't wait to look at it in the editor to see if there is any hidden content.

I looked at some pictures of the park, it looks really cool. I bet New Canaan was moved from Ogden (where it was supposed to be in VB) to Springdale, considering Springdale is right outside of the park.

Also, here's hoping the DLC is 20 bucks and the National Park is a large area of wilderness to explore, but I suppose I'm just getting ahead of myself.

Speaking of hidden things, I believe Obsidian was not fond of cultural references in contrast to Fallout 1.

On topic: Yup, exciting right?

What a beauty. If it actually has a lot of area in the park, I cannot see this being a linear, closed of area. Exciting.

Looks like concept art at first glance.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just looked on Google Earth, it's about 160 miles from Vegas to Springdale. I hope they make our character walk. I miss the aspect of traveling massive distances on foot in the originals. I'd love to arrive in New Canaan in 2 in-game weeks.

I'd really like for all of the DLCs to be like Point Lookout; The Pitt was an amazing setting but just missed the mark in terms of size and content.

If I'm eventually going to drop $40-50 on DLCs I want those DLCs to be worth it content-wise.

Walking all that distance would be annoying because I hate the walking animation in NV. It doesn't look realistic. It would be more enjoyable (IMO) if you could walk like you can in Half-Life, Portal, etc. But I know the engine won't allow it.

Oh, that's not what I meant. It would be instantaneous for gameplay purposes, but an in game 2 weeks would pass between New Vegas and New Canaan. I was just saying because in Fallout 3, both DLCs that take you to a new Wasteland area have a vehicle thing to take you there. I just want it so they don't make you use a vehicle to get there.

Got it. I don't read things throughly sometimes. And that gets me into a lot of trouble on the Internet. It's good these forums aren't full of trolls.

Maybe that's the Divide. If it is, I called it.

I think the Divide is the Grand Canyon. Besides, I think Ulysses will be the last DLC, and I think this one is supposed to be the 2nd DLC.

I doubt it's the divide because its supposed to be filled with twisters. IIRC Cass states that she learned to use explosives in the divide because the twisters would commonly block the roads with rubble

The dIvide is the west half of the map which is at the moment blocked off.
And my guess due to New vegas extreme finacial success they will make for than 4 dlc's if only 4 that would be dissapointing.

I disagree. 4 sounds good. Especially if one of those is twice the price and twice the size of something like Point Lookout, which is more of a possibility with 4 DLCs. And to me, Fallout 3... well... Mothership Zeta just doesn't count. So it is about the same for me.

I absolutely love that idea.

I tried to start a thread about the "kinds of DLC" people wanted to see, if they wanted it to follow the Oblivion model (house packs, minor quests with reward items) the Fallout 3 model (minor expansions, a new location + a new mechanic + a handful of new items, perks and rewards), or the Marrowind model (full-on x-packs).

I would love to see something the size and scope of Oblivion's Shimmering Isles for FO:NV, in addition to the 4 stated expansions. And maybe a few new "house and a 20-min quest" type mods (like Frostcraig spire for instance)

According to IMDb it's a different Toby, but who knows, maybe they're wrong.
