Destroying Caesar's Legion

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 10:20 pm

I'm siding with the NCR and have just received the quest to find the Great Khans.

Ive already met Caesar and we were on good terms untill I took out all the legion at Nelson, so I am now villified.

If I kill everyone at Cottonwood Cove and the Fort (including Caesar himself) how much will this effect the main quest? Will this have any drawbacks for me?

Thanks in advance

Waste of Stim (plenty if you explore and restock a lot) and ammo (plenty if you gear and craft right) imo, but why not.

It has very little effect on the main quest and the Legion in general, as Ceasar doesn't command their army, and there's already a line of succession set up. So no need to worry. As far as I know, there are no negative consequences in terms of glitches and such.

I took him out with Boone -- one of the most glorious moments of the game for me. It's really cool that everyone knows, too, and nearly all the people around the Mojave area recognise me as, I quote, 'the guy who killed Ceasar'. :)

You just end up wasting your medical supplies and ammunition. He has alot of tough guards that can easily overpower your companions.

If you're siding with the NCR, kill them. They are the main enemy and it's good XP, guns, and caps.

But you get like 6 ballistic fists which even if you don't have an unarmed character are still overpowered insta-kill powerhouses.

I wanted to storm the Fort with Boone but settled with fighting Lanius Legate at the end of the main quest. This was my first time playing the game so I was unsure about whether I would have the chance to kill Caesar before or during the main quest. Guess I'll have to do this on another playthrough.

Doesn't matter if it amounts to nothing but a waste of stimpacks and ammo, I want satisfying fights. :)
