Where are you huddled up?

I know there's been a number of threads on this topic but the game's been out for over a day now so I'm sure people are finding some good places to stay. I'm curious as to where everyone is calling home right now. The hotel room I'm staying in will definitely be a temporary thing. I'm hoping to find something similar to the National Guard Depot from Fallout 3. That was right up my alley.

Spoiler
Abandoned shack. Look North-East of the starting town, for a big white cross monument. It's right near that, can't miss it. Got workbenches and everything...

Hole up? Why on earth would I hole up anywhere?

I'm a wanderer. If I find a bed, I sleep in it. If I need food, I shoot for it. If I need a doc, I head to one of the towns. Never stayed in one place too long as of yet, so much to do! So much to explore. I dont need to stash things, because if I ain't usin' it, it gets sold.

However, the school in goodsprings aint a bad spot, safes should be good for storing items.

I'm keeping my stuff at the room in Novac. I've heard about a customizable house that, well, House gives you. I'll be moving there when I get it.

There are actually legit houses in this game. Just have to look for them :D

Wait, don't items etc disappear after a while, if you put them in containers, (aside from ones in your "official" house/s) or has that been changed?

So hang on, I take it there's NO purchasable/obtainable houses like the Megaton shack in Fallout 3, etc? Hmm, ok, well in that case I'll probably find a flat or somewhere in/near a Vegas fast-travel point
