First time i've ever made a thread to simply thank the devs for giving me what i wanted.

I love how they took so many of the little things from Fallout 1 & 2 that made it special and threw it into New Vegas. I really, really appreciate it.

I dont want to say much at all so i dont spoil it for anyone else. But the beginning quests so reminiscent of Fallout 2 made me smile. Even a lot of the recycled soundtrack from Fallout 1 & 2 being in New Vegas really made me happy.

hardcoe mode is amazing. The game feels so much more real now. Actually having to eat, sleep and drink like a normal person. Or ammo weighing you down i really like that.

I'm so greatful for all of the little things from Fallout 1 & 2 being thrown into New Vegas. For any of the diehard 1 & 2 fans i'm sure they appreciate this as much as I do. They're really easy to miss if you didnt play the originals but sure make you smile or laugh when you see them or realize why something is there.

Fallout 3 was a great game, but it was missing that special something that made Fallout 1 & 2 so memorable.

Thank you so much Obsidian for making a sequel a little truer to the original Fallout games. New Vegas feels like an actual Fallout game.

I agree bud, I played for 2 hours last night before bed and I enjoyed myself so much that I ahd to find these forums and make an account!

I loved Fallout1 and 2 and thought Fallout3 ahd some good parts but I didnt like it a crazy amount like most people did.
But Obsidian has really nailed the Fallout FEEL imo. The story is great, voice acting is awesome, the new rpg elements are great and the characters and dialogue is top notch.

As an old school rpg gamer, this is more then I could have even hoped for, LOVING IT!

Never played FO1/2, started at 3 and liked it a lot. I am very surprised that the engine and in-game world look a lot better than I remembered. Eagerly anticipating getting home and doing more exploring.

i havent got it yet i will be getting it within the next few hours though. it will be hard for me at first to pull away from halo reach lol. is there anything i should know? something important/? or is it a find-out-for-yoourself kinda thing?

Just take your time assigning skills. have a battle plan on what you want to excel in (can't do everything and do it well). And ensure your SPECIAL stats cater to the skills that such a role is based on. Then... get exploring! That's what this game is all about. Spin your character in a random direction and then head off in that path and go find some adventure!

I have 2 more sleeps to get over with yet until I get my copy. I can't wait.

Sounds good. Im really excited for this game. oh and i never played the first two fallouts (but have played all the elder scrolls which is how i found fallout 3) so will i not understand some things? as in references to the first two?

i also want to thanks Bethesda and Obsidian for this masterpiece. FONV is a great game...i love every minute of it. My only complain is the haircuts that are the same of FO3 , i would rather some new styles...but was ok .

Dont need to have played any of them to start up the game. But if you've played 1 & 2, you'll recognize a lot of things they put in NV. FONV is basically packed full of inside jokes if you remember 1 & 2 pretty well.

The thing i love most is the soundtrack from the first 2 games. They added a lot of those tracks into NV.
