Ammos - which ammo am I using? : Fallout: New Vegas

There are several kinds of ammos, hollow points, armor piercing, etc. But I cannot recognize from the info on screen what ammo I'm using. Is that shown?

Access your pip boy, click the middle button (items is it?) and then click the ammo button; the ammo currently in use will be highlighted with a box iirc. Click any other highlighted options to switch ammo type.

I dont think it displays on the HUD, if it does i havent noticed :rofl:

It actually says to the right of how much ammunition you're carrying. AP means armor piercing, HP means hollow points, and so on. If you're on Xbox360 up on the directional pad is automatically the quicklslot to change ammunition types.

~60 hours of gameplay tallied up so far, hadnt noticed (i had noticed my ammo count, am not that bad!) ... i've never been the most observant person! :lmao: (although i think in my defense i mostly stick to the bog standard stuff - so it wouldnt show right? :laugh: )
