So I’m doing the quest ‘Still in the Dark’ for the Brotherhood with Veronica and Ed-E in tow and we head over to Vault 22 to pick up some parts. I had been to the Vault before for another quest so most of the baddies were already gone, so I thought.

So my companions were trailing me through the vault when suddenly they both dash into a room to fight something which I never see. Unfortunately the room was full of gas and Veronica is using Pushy, so all of a sudden there is this big explosion and I get notified that both Veronica and Ed-E are unconscious.

I head back to them to find Veronica coming to, but not Ed-E; in fact I can find Ed-E anywhere. So I figure he’ll show up when I load into another part to the vault, no; maybe when I exit, no; when I fast travel, no. The thing is I still have his perk but not him.

So I dump Veronica and pick up Cass. What does Cass do? The first time I take her to New Vegas she ups and disappears, but I still have her perk too. So I guess I’ll drink some Whiskey to my lost companions.


PS3 so no console commands and I don't want to go back to an old save, beside I like being by myself and having their perks too.

Wait one week in game. You should get a message that says they've returned to where you found them (Primm, Mohave, etc.) like dogmeat in F03. If not, and you have a Lucky 38 suite, look there. If its still a no, then you're out of luck.
