I dont know bout y'all, but ive encountered the EVIL Cazador in the wooly wastes, and they kill me faster then if i try to kill the B.O.S. in the citadal, on very hard, with only a 10 mill and a vault suit with no stims. (F3 fans should have attempted this lol) does that say somthing about the cazador?

The enemies are much harder to bring down on normal in NV than Fallout 3... I am playing on hardcoe, i dont know if that makes a difference.

Hell yes they are. One hit of their stinger cripples my character's leg. They are fast, and they always seem to sneak up on you when you are in the middle of fighting something else.

Cazador's can kill my character (my 13th level character) in three hits, each of which also cripples a limb.

If an enemy has an automatic weapon and you are taken by surprise, or don't have a plan, or svck at guns, or . . . well, anything really, you are screwed.

I was also torn apart by a pack of wild dogs at level 10.

Threats are real in this game.

Playing on Normal Difficulty - and loving it.

I haven't come across these, yet, but I'm assuming you can't just step on them to kill them like you can with mantises? :P

Y'all are scaring me. The scariest creature I've encountered in the Wasteland so far has been... I dunno, a pack of geckos? I guess I've been lucky (9.5 hours into the game). I have been killed by sneaky packs of raiders just suddenly appearing on ridges surrounding me, though. (Well, more specifically, ED-E was killed, but I reset anyway.)

Keep running backwards in a circle so he keeps missing his stinger. He'll pause as you're still moving and shooting at him. Eventually he'll wear down. I use that trick and he doesn't hit me once, but be sure you're out in the open flat plains.

The Wasps are really tough with their stingers and orange wings, but those wings go up pretty easy with the Incinerator torch, as do most bugs. :flamethrower:

haha just wait man! Its a jungle out there! I had my first encounter with a Deathclaw and it lasted (from the moment he saw me from like 100 yards away until death ) about 8 seconds. There was not a thing in the world i could do . No running fighting didnt even have time to crap my pants!!

Im not that far into the game yet either, but the creatures do seem tougher.
A good thing though IMHO.

Deathclaws made a quick lunch out of me a couple times. Think Ill leave them alone for now.
I even tried running from one after it seen me ... but that wasn't helpful either.

Smaller Scorpions not so bad but .... the Giant Ones I have issues with. And always seems to sneak up while Im fighting smaller ones or something and I have to run away :(

Found 1 cazador out exploring so far .. It didn't end well for me though

:D

So far I really like it.

I've seen maybe 4-5 gaint scorpions at level 4 not counting one that was already dead, managed to avoid all but one when i was near the gaint cross to the west of Goodsprings, barly managed to get on top of a big rock before it caught up to me and then it took 30 10mm rounds from my pre-order gun before it finally died.
