I love New Vegas

Let me start out saying this game is awesome and i love it /endbeingnice

Seriously Bethesda your engine is RIDICULOUSLY sub par and glitchy. I dont mind when enemies randomly fall into to rocks,or the constant freezing, the stupid AI, or even the little hiccups (especially with the random load times that take forever on 360, then some of them takes less than 10 seconds), but the current, unfix-able glitch I am stuck dealing with is over the top.

I can't use my weathered 10mm pistol anymore. Thanks Bethesda for the glitches in your system, causing the mesh to not be loaded, and every time i try to use my favorite gun, a huge exclamation point goes over my body with a big red box. /facepalm

You would think after three games with a faulty engine they would update it or at least fix it by now.

I hope you start patching this game immediately so I can use my gun again.

Edit: And another thing that urks me. With Obsidian creating the game and big name game company Bethesda producing it, and since at least 75% of all the meshes and textures are LITERALLY copy and pasted from fallout 3, i would think they had plenty of time and resources to devote a little bit to actually update things like their engine and fixing the KNOWN bugs and glitches in it.

My Xbox has nothing to do with this -.-

We all know their games can be glitchy. I was hoping this one would be different. I guess i should /facepalm myself for expecting a decent quality> quantity game. my bad.

the missing mesh has nothing to do with the game system, the file is just damaged or missing, its your disk that is screwed up.

Theres at least three people having this problem on the 360 and even a few reports of it happening on the PS3 so i highly doubt its a disc problem.

Realty of it is that nearly every game that comes out has bugs it's are job to report em simple as that nothing you else you can do about it :user:

this sounds like frustrated lashing out. there WILL be a fix eventually, its only been two days, there are ALL WAYS bugs for any game when it first comes out. don't blame the engine either, that has nothing to do with textures failing to load. there could be several things wrong: (if your on PC) your set up might not beable to run the settings your on. (if your on console) the reader to you 360 is probably messed up or covered in dust.

besides, they never said they were going to do any big overhuals on the engine. and ugrading engines takes as much time as making a complete game if not longer, and the more complicated tasks they perform the more errors there are going to be. considering that the engine is the same and the mesh for the 10mm pistol is the same and the previous tital had no such problem your assertion that the engine is to blame is incorret. just have a little patience. don't worry about buying a new disc any ways, patches are usually free. espeaciall if your on pc, the patches will be automatic.

EDIT: @deagle1991 its not out on ps3 yet so your obviously miss informed.
EDIT2: maybe not, I am not sure now if it is out yet for ps3 yet or not. mostly because I am seeing conflicting info.

Third:

Oblivion
FO3
FO:NV

And buying Beth games at launch is always a bad idea. I say that as a rabid really devoted fan. GoTY + patches/unoffical + mods is always the best course of action.
gamesas games have always been buggy. Nothing to rage over but it's also nothing to blame on the people with complaints either because the complaints are mostly legit.

buying any game at launch date is bad. however, gamesas is better than most developers in that they continue to make patches for their games even long after they have moved on to other stuff.

I'll say it again, the engine tends to be buggy because its doing alot of premo stuff. the game pong didn't have too many bugs but it wasn't that complicated either was it?

I hope they abandon the Gamebryo engine for Fallout 4. It is a rather mediocre engine and the game could be sooooooooo much better with a better tuned custom engine.

I read up on the Wiki and apparently what causes the mesh to be like that is attaching ANY mod to the Weathered 10MM so if you have a save from before that then you can use it again.

This.

But i also think some people have worse games than overs, some have no bugs what so ever, and some are in the OP position.
