I'm not sure what to do. I push start on the game Launcher, then the launcher disappears for a few seconds, then reappears again.

I'm having a similar issue..

I had NV installed on my old computer... built a new one... and reinstalled it on this one. and now when i click "Play" on the loader, i just get a Black screen with my mouse as a loading icon..

any help is greatly appreciated.. im on Win 7 btw

Same problem here too. Tried the disable the steam community thing, tried running the executable as admin in various compatibility modes... it just won't load up and doesn't bring up an error explaining why.

I've tried all those fixes, and none of it works.
This is really dumb.

Bethesda is climbin in yo windows snatches your fallout new Vegas up breaking the launcher so yall need to hide yo computer hide yo monitor n hide yo fallout new vegas cuz they breaking all those launchers out here Bethesda doesnt have to come and confess we waiting for to update this game...

I got the same problem it says Fallout new Vegas has encountered a problem and needs to close WE ARE WAITING BETHESDA.... PLZ RELEASE A UPDATE PLZ

A lot of times this is indicative of a codecs issue.

Use the following utility to reset Windows to use default codecs. READ THE WARNINGS AND DESCRIPTION!! Make a system restore point or export your registry first to easily undo this if desired!!

Oh yeah, turn of, or untick "enable steam community In-Game" to.

That didn't work either.
And Bethesda hasn't responded to my email, and it's been about 5 days.
Within 48 hours my ass.

Same problem but I'm using XP 32 bit
