I've played Fallout:New Vegas on the PC and, personally, loved it. There was just a few things I didn't like (mainly the glitches). I've read the PC version is less glitchy and I like the look of some mods. They seem to keep the game fresh for longer. Anyone, I've got a Acer Aspire 5552. It's got a 256MB ATI Radeon 4250 HD, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 2.1Ghz Athlon Dual-Core and a 500GB HDD. I doubt it will, but I'd like confirmation on whether or not this will run New Vegas for PC. And, if so, is it worth me buying the PC version?

The card is a bit low. Game-grade video cards usually aren't put into the average computer. Just on a fuzzy guess, it probably is adequate to run it, but not at the top.

Also, clock speed on CPUs doesn't mean much anymore except comparisons between units of the same architecture. What's the model number of the CPU?

i have an xbox 360 and acer laptop and ps2. i have to say most pc games that start on pc the console versions are awful. for example Civilization -any pc version compared to the CIVRevolution title on xbox (was an awful dumbed down version) and nothing compared to the real pc versions. it was geared towards kids i suppose. Deus Ex 1 on pc is a masterpiece classic but i found the ps2 version was awful and just didnt have the same feel or atmosphere as the classic on pc. However console games i would recommend like Oblivion and Fable 2 Fallout 3 they are brilliant excellent console games on xbox 360. my xbox got rrod and ive waited months but they wont collect and repair it so i opted for pc version and am reveling in pc version of New Vegas. my acer is few years old laptop but it players handles fallout NV specs no problem. While it will be hard to live up to Fallout 3 as that is so awesome classic New Vegas is not far off it so far ..

Can't tell the instantly noticeable difference between playing on the xbox 360 or the PC on ultra high settings. I have no problem running FO:NV with like the max settings and I can't see anything gameplay changing or crucial that the xbox 360 does not provide.

Hmm you may not be able to max it out. In that case prob go console version.

If you upgrade your vid card you should be good to go.

I own the PC and PS3 versions, and I have to say PC is infinitely better. The PS3 annoys me how I have to wait 50-60 seconds each time I walk through a door, while on the PC I get better graphics, mods and instantaneous load times.
