Handgun Glitch (Video Included)

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 1:23 am

The latest patch fixed most of the bugs I had except for few CTDs and this glitch I'm having.

Here is my video on youtube:

(watch in 1080p + fullscreen for a better look)

The CTDs I can manage but this specific glitch is getting on my nerves...
I'd like to know the cause of this or a way to fix it permanently.
I did all the common actions like uninstalling/reinstalling, create a new character etc. and I have no mods installed.

No one is having this glitch?
This is happening EVERY time I play Fallout NV, it's like a magnet is pulling the weapons inside the body of my character.
Are there any mods that can fix this somehow? anything?

This is a well documented glitch, I'm not sure about mods since I'm on the 360 but I have this glitch constantly too, pretty sure everyone does but I'm not sure about all the platforms.

They should have a list with all the common bugs/gltches pinned somewhere here,
when I last checked the wiki it didn't say anything about it either and even if it did I wouldn't know by what name to search for it.
...at least it's good to know I'm not the only one.

And one more thing I want to add is that I noticed that the perk "Quick Draw" (which makes weapon equipping and holstering 50% faster.) is kinda helping the glitch to occur while running,
the problem is still there but with this perk it's 100% certain that it will happen if you holster while running.
The glitch is happening with all the weapons but only handguns seem to mess up with the character's body because of their position.
And like I said in the video, if you exit the game and load without changing equipment everything is fine... so something is going on when you make changes in the pipboy.
