male courier sounds like a girl when taking damage.

my middle aged male character literally sounds like a girl when taking damage; has anyone else noticed this?

i've done a few tests and even with the age slider maxed out, the voice effects don't change.

this seems like a strange oversight considering the otherwise excellent sound design throughout the game.

 Sorry but I find your topic title hilarious! Sounds like he needs to man up instead of taking the pain like a girl

But on a serious note, im not sure because I still have one day to go

I made a short check in Geck because I recognized this too and it is definitely a male voice. It's simply the actor which sounds strange.

Only one way to settle this. The OP has to volunteer to be shot and we'll see if he sounds like a girl.

I heard it and thought that it was just a little too off to be a male or females voice definitely. I figured it was done so they could use one voice for the courier and so they tried to make it sound "unisix" woulda been better to just use two seperate VAs tho

From what I read in another topic, it's how the sound is recorded, same as in Fallout 3. It sounds the same in my case, a tough bearded older male sounds like a 13-year old.
