The new weapons are a huge improvement

Just wanted to give props to whomever was involved in the changes to weapon design. This has got to be the improvement i've noticed and enjoyed the most in fallout new vegas.

In fallout 3 half the weapons were a joke, the selection was somewhat small but what really limited you was that within about 10 minutes into the game there were only about 3 weapons left that did enough damage to be worth using. It always struck me as such a shame that 90% of the weapons you found were basically trash to sell. This seemed really off since it was supposed to be post-apocalyptic yet weapons like 10mm, .32, and just about everything except the combat shotgun and Chinese assault rifle were made obsolete by level 4.

For example the 10mm pistol, this was the lowest gun that was even worth shooting in fallout 3, and even then it was trash shortly after leaving the intro. Where as in vegas the 10mm pistol is a large pistol that 20 hours in it's still the gun i pull out when I really need to dish out damage to a boss or a harder monster. The progression of weapons makes so much more sense. Even more so it doesn't feel like weapons become obsolete, the damages are a lot closer together and your weapon choice seems to hinge more on what you prefer, what you can repair, and less being restricted to a choice of only 2 viable weapons.

I can't tell you how much i'm loving the fact that all the weapons are more viable in vegas and it feels much more true to the fallout setting and has increased my enjoyment of the game an immense amount. Good job guys!
