Fallout New Vegas CTD: Fresh Install: After First Image : Fallout: New Vegas

I have no mods installed, I removed them all. I also reinstalled Fallout New Vegas and the problem disappeared for a few minutes for several start ups, and I had a few mods installed, then I removed the mods, verified the integrity of the files via steam, and the problem still applies.

Getting fairly annoyed here that I can't play the game.

The game crashes a few moments after the very first image that you see pops up, no intro movie or anything plays.

UPDATE: Doesn't even play the entire intro, just crashes after the very first image you see when starting FNV.

Note the things I have tried.
-Skipping intro movie steps
-Dx9 file step
-everything other solution I could find on the front page of google by searching various descriptions of my issue involving CTD/Crash to desktop/after first image.
I've tried solutions to pretty much everything. It worked for a little bit, but shortly after It stopped again.

Theres also a small little window in the top left, that has white borders and black inside, and the window where the game should be is black.

Problem started the first time I opened the file on this new computer. The hard drive that it is on is from my old install of windows, but i formated the drive and kept all of my games and programs on a seperate hard drive. I've reinstalled steam+FNV at least 5 times in different attempts to fix the problem.

I've tried limiting the cores to 2, I've tried removing the start up intro video, but I dont even get that far in the start up.

I played crash free after doing a registry cleaner, but I've tried the same thing and nothing happened again, so i assume it was a fluke. After it started working for about 30 minutes I was happy and installed a bunch of mods, somewhere along the line it messed up again, and I've been trying to fix it ever since. I also removed the entire fallout new vegas folder, including the mods. I've tried starting it from the folder, steam, from FOMM...pretty much everything.

I also had a Xonar sound driver, but I've tried starting up windows with anything other services, I've disable those drivers and sound support, as well as using my motherboard for sound, still nothing. I'll try uninstalling the sound drivers.

ALso your soundcard drivers look outdated. Also make sure your motherboard drivers are up-to-date.

I've tried the step 1, no avail.

Will be updating my MB drivers, soundcard drivers, and display drivers. Will uninstall ffdshow as well, but it didnt work before I installed ffdshow anyway.

This might help point to some clues: (worth a try)

You can download a program called debugdiag (from microsoft) and catch the crash. The program will create a memory dump and you can anolyze
this for issues.

Download debugdiag.msi (not the x64 version). You may have to go to the install directory to execute the right program. The anolyze only shortcut is installed in the program directory
but not the debugdiag.exe. C:\Program Files (x86)\DebugDiag <-- It should be debugdiag.exe

Its not too hard to get a crash dump from here. Install the program "as admin" by right clicking. Then run it again "as admin".
If the wizard (select rule type) pops up, you want to run fallout 3 nv before proceeding. Afterwards, select crash->a specific process->FalloutNV.exe.

--(only do this if your getting the c0000005 exception when you crash) you probably are
On the next wizard screen you want to select exceptions at the bottom. On the first chance exception screen select add exception.
Find c0000005 (access violation) and select mini-userdump from the action type drop-down menu. You can return to this step and try a full-dump if
the mini-dump doesnt show anything.

Click OK and finish out the wizard.
You should see your rule listed in the rules tab. The status should e active and the userdump count 0. Simply go into the game and get it to crash.
After the crash the userdump count should be set to 1. A minidump file is created jsut follow the path listed under user dump.
The mini-dump should be a small file (~200 KB more or less). TO anolyse just add the file in the advanced anolysis tab and click start anolysis.

Left 4 Dead 2 also crashes 2-3 seconds after starting to load, the initial video's work fine.

Still nothing, working with Jasper via email but no solutions as of yet.

If anyone has any solution to the c0000005 exception error, please post it here...

I have been trying to figure out how I got it to work, and it how it broke again, but there seems to be no connection between the two.
