So I've played through 2 characters already and I havn't found any sign of the Enclave... Where are they? What can I get by meeting them?

I don't think they have much of a presence (if any) in FO:NV.

They're a band of five (technically 6) deserters who fled after the dissolution of the Enclave, all now old folks. If you finish Arcade's personal quest, you can have them dust off a secret cache of hardware (including a Vertibird!) and suit up one last time to kick some football savages' asses (or bucket hats' asses if you choose).

Afaik there hasn't been much interaction between them, NCR is west coast and Enclave is east coast.

This^. There is a "remnants bunker" you will come across up by Jacobstown, but you won't be able to gain access untill you complete Arcade's quest. There is a remnants helmet in one of the near by caves. (silver mine cave I believe). I love the "Remnants power armor" because it is not assigned to any particular faction. Also has +1 strenght, 14% rad resist, and mainly, no agility loss.

No, Enclave was west coast before FO3. Have you played FO2?

He may be referring simply to the most recent activity which would have been DC (because the writers for FO3 were too lazy to come up with a unique faction so they just transplanted one, heh) around 2277.

These Enclave folks, however, are left over from the West Coast group, which was essentially beheaded when the oil rig blew up circa 2241.

The Remnant Tesla armour is quit nice.

You can find a T51 and a Remnant power armour across the river in the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Deathclaw_Promontory, go well tooled up if you want to come out alive though.
