FlashLight?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 3:10 am

So im thinking there was a flashlight in FO3 (pip-boy light) (could be wrong), but cannot find any light source on me to shine in dark areas to see certain places. Is there one? (would be nice in dark rooms to light it up)
Would really not prefer to have to mess with brightness in the game or on my TV, but guess im going to have to?

press and hold pipboy button (Tab on PC Default) till pip-boy lights up. That is the flashlight function :) Press and hold, don't just press once - that will just open the pip-boy menu interface.

I have to comment that this is the worst flashlight implementation I've seen since Doom 3. You have to hold the tab for like 3 seconds, and it goes off when you change areas (going through a door). And it's more of an area light than a directional light, so you can't see more than 5 feet away.

I find it annoying if I'm trying to be stealth, because the delay will reveal me if an enemy turns the corner and sees me.

Ahhhhh. Flashlight...

I was thinking of that realistic feeling thing... thought maybe they had a mod to bring one in game. :twirl:

This could be useful. I found like 50 fussion batteries in a dark corner of that rocket building. I was just randomly hitting 'E'.
