I had mods on my Varmint rifle early on. You can get a nightvision scope a supressor and extended magazine for it. I'm pretty sure you can get all of those from the general store in the first town you start off in.

Otherwise go to Gunrunners outside vegas to purchase mods for multiple guns. Sadly I bought mods for my Weathered 10mm and it turned my gun into a giant red square with a white question mark =(.

Super silent varmint sniper ftw.

Yeah I know. 5k + for a single peice of armor that isn't that good. I bought recon (my character is a sniper) and it was honestly a waste of money. I think it's like 3-5k at crappy condition and then to repair it from buying costs 8k and I have yet to find other recon suits for me to use to repair...

:sadvaultboy:

The Goodspring store had both of those mods. But I had a crash while shopping there, and when I reloaded, his inventory had changed and he only had some silly one (extended mag, maybe?)

Found a 9mm pistol scope at the Novac shop, though.

Speaking of all of this, how often, if ever do shop inventories change? I haven't payed that much attention to them, mostly just seeing if they have ammo I need or mods I want then moving on when they inevitably don't.

IF it's the same as FO3, it's three days without you being in the same world cell as the shopkeeper. I think.
