Kill Cam

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 7:40 am

I'm just curious who actually left this function on. It annoyed me after the first thing I killed. I don't like being taken out of the action just so I can watch something die, especially when there's other things to do. How about you?

It annoyed me at first but then I switched over to player view. I find it much more enjoyable now.

Kill cam is obnoxious in every form except "Off".

Especially dangerous is the "player perspective" cam - which can sometimes trick your responses into slowing with the slo-mo action.

I turned it off because it got annoying in large groups.

Maybe if it turned down how often it would display (maybe only on kills caused from a critical attack?) I would have it on, but it's annoying having the game go into slow-mo on every kill. At least you can turn it off; Alien Swarm has the same type of obnoxious slow-mo death cam and it's caused me to die a lot, and you can't disable it in that game.

I love it. Cinematic all the way. Never gets old for me.

It was cool at first but it got me killed a few times, because it wouldn't resort back to normal fast enough and end up getting cornered.

It's the best part about the game seeing your enemies limbs heads fly off in slow motion :disco:

The player cam gives you a small amount of "bullet time" to react to another baddie. The cinematic version is rather clunky to me and gets me a little disorientated at times.

Especially when you shoot the enemy in slo-mo...and then reload your weapon is super fast-forward. CLCLCLICK!

I like seeing the VATs cut scene without having to actually use VATs.

No. Just no.

I can't stand some slo-mo camera almost every time I kill someone/something. It just takes so much time...

I can't stand that either.

A shotgun doesn't 'detach' your head :/

The clean "seams" only work for bladed weapons (and even then it's extreme. Lets see someone cleave through a femur with a cleaver... come on) - they should be more "torn" in any other case. Still, it would more likely burst the part (whole or in part) vs just detaching it.

Rolling heads are funny, but silly at the same time.
