I've been nothing but good towards the NCR completed all the missions so far helped them out, they even gave me a radio to call them if i got inot trouble, and so was surpirsed when out of the blue an NCR bounty hunter type stopped me and said i was pissing them off and gave me 3 days to imporve my reputation with them? Don't get it..

Continuing the main quest and choosing someone other than the NCR will cause them to hate you. Is that what you did?

There are points in the main quest that seem to swing things fairly heavily when you pick sides.

Hmm interesting, I am wearing some power armour... Maybe thats it, so just taking it off will help instantly or have I got to beg for forgiveness )

Not really done much of the main quest yet, am about 25 hours in a just about to go onto the strip for the first time... so it can't be that. I guess if I kill the bounty hunter guys that will do no good for my rep ) At least caeser not after me even though I am vilified!

No, playing on PS3 so got the first patch a while ago... Will try taking the armour off and progressing the main quest. Off to find/kill Benny now then...

Power Armor is Brotherhoood of Steel i'm sure it will help taking that off probaly seen as they enemies of NCR

The bounty hunter sounds more like a reputation thing than a wearing-the-wrong-armour thing, though. Kind of like the Legion Assassins. Weird.

and no, power armor doesn't makes you be dressed as a BoS member...

so perhaps it's a matter of siding with Mr.House a bit too much?

Err, yes it does. Unless you're equipping NCR branded Power armor.

There are 2 types of Brotherhood Power Armors.

One is the standard "T-XX Power Armor" those have no alliance affliations.

There is the "Brotherhood T-XX Power Armors" those are considered disguises and make you belong to the BoS faction.

Sounds like bug. Unless your reputation is very bad, they should not send assasins. But lot of strange things are happening with reputation. Looks like whole thing is bugged. I for example get jumped by powderganger hit squad on each play, always at the same place and regardless my standing with them.
