Insane Quest/Legion Problem!

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 4:06 am

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere.

During the Ring-a-Ding-Ding quest, I chose to be passive and didn’t kill Benny. That obviously led him to flee to the Legion Fort. Then, in all my infinite wisdom, I went to Cotton Grove Ferry and killed all of Caesar’s troops. Getting to the fort for the platinum chip is no problem, but once inside the camp, I’m utterly attacked and killed. Is there a definite (or a possible) way to save the quest without reverting to a WAY earlier save point???

Go away, do loads of side quests, earn lots of XP, and come back at a higher level so you can defeat them. Yes there are peaceful ways to do the quest, but you ruined that when you went in all guns blazing. There's still a way through it, but it requires you to be stronger and more experienced so that you don't die.

I got the Mark of Caesar way after that point, which may have been a hiccup in the storyline, I'm not sure. But I went from vilified by the Legion to Neutral via the Mark then as soon as I finished some quest for Yes Man, back to instantly vilified by the Legion before ever going to The Fort.

I know that when someone has something that I want, my first instinct is to start killing everyone in sight before I've even laid eyes on the person I'm after.

Who would have thought that it wasn't a good idea? :gun:
