Boomers Help : Fallout: New Vegas

I need help with the boomer mission where you have to run through the arty, i got the instructions from the smoking guy but every time i try to get through i get wasted almost right away, whats the best way to get through this death trap?

After you pass the smoking guy (George?), you'll see a rockwall on your left hand side. What you need to do is run as fast as you can, while hugging that rock wall. Seriously. Stay as close as you can to it, and just book it.

Follow the wall until you reach the fence. Once there, just follow the fence to the gate. They shouldn't be shooting at you once you reach the fence.

I honestly didn't even listen to the instructions. You just keep to the left and run like hell. At one point, I ducked into the remains of a house and waited for the pause in the bombardment. Keep trying, you'll get it.

If you keep having trouble, it helps to use Turbos. Last time I did it it took 2 Turbos to get to the gate, but I only saw 2 shells hit and didn't take much damage.

LOL i was going the wrong way : ( when he said north west i went by the large map of NV i tried like 5 different ways but not that one, thanks for the quick responses guys!
