How do I correct this?

I have already
-rebooted
-renamed clientregistry.blob file
-looked up steam forum for help


It really bothers me that Steam is telling me I cannot play a game that I in fact own and have sitting in my dvd drive. Is there ANY way to launch fallout WITHOUT Steam?

Look up and run FalloutNV.exe. I recall that worked last time when my net caved.
