So I got the tip from the supply dude in Mcarren that he will give me access to his extended inventory if I do something with the Gun Runners (I forget the exact cosmetic message) So I went there and he basically said I need to collect 100 pieces of scrap metal. However, since that first time I talked to him he is nowhere to be found. A tip suggested he has a residence near there but I've scoured the entire area to no avail. I've sat there by the workbench he is supposed to be and waited for 2 weeks time and he is simply gone.

I not in the mood to start another game. This is my 4th go at it with all previous attempts resulting in save gave corruptions and other bugged quest issues.. Man I'm totally missing FO3.. This game is rife with buggy questlines, performance issues and a very very boring storyline.

From the Gunrunners shup, face East and head out that way. You'll come across a pair of houses. One of them is Issac's place.

Same thing happened to me. Went to Isaac's house and found him there. The words to enter his house are red, but go in anyway. When he confronts you, just start the dialogue about having scrap for him. He won;t attack for the trespass. After this visit to his house, he's been back at the work bench outside the gun runners ever since.
