i bought New Vegas at the midnight release, went home, played 1 hour of it, and i didnt really like it. so i have just recently started playing it again because HEY I PAID $50. so the game works fine i guess but whenever i scan the game to see if everything is there, there is always a file missing....yes i use Steam. steam wont let me figure out what file is missing and wont tell me what to do about it....what do i do?

I've had this problem since the new patch myself. Every time (and time after time) I try to validate it tells me the same thing and downloads something (very small file because it downloads quickly). Searching the net, the consensus seems to be that it doesn't matter but I can't help thinking that this is connected to some of the new problems introduced. I can still play the game but there are quite a few new wrinkles (like a missing mesh for the vanilla kitchen table) that weren't there before the patch and with no new mods added.

Anyone have a real explanation for it yet?
