Coming out of the Tops, I was somehow given Boone's Scoped Hunting Rifle. The game counts it as stolen because it doesn't show up in my inventory of available weapons to give to him. Any way to give it back to him?

I read somewhere that this is a bug. I dunno how to fix it. Maybe save and sell it then buy it back to get rid of the stolen flag? If it doesn't work you can always reload. If you are on the PC there may be a way to reset him through the console.
