Finally hit the strip, went to the blackjack table and made about 5000 caps in 15 minutes. Was it this easy for anyone else? I’m playing a high Luck character (9) so that might have something to do with it.

Hell I barely know what to do with all these caps!

A little bummed though, because now there basically nothing I can’t buy. Valueless stims, an ocean of ammo, and repairs for days. Guess I got to look for some high ticket items.

I'm seeing lots of reports of the luck stat having non-trivial effects on gambling. I think it's a slight oversight, but it's an awesome one.

And it's basically the reason they ban you from the casinos.

Ya I'm not quite a high roller yet, I got comped a drink and a meal, but no free room yet.

Gonna mess around an see at what point I actually get banned.

If you get banned, can you not go back in there ever, or is it just for a certain amount of time?

Luck makes a big differnce. I was playing a luck 3 melee character and was constantly dealt 15, 16. and got an unlukcy message from time to time. a high luck 9 character got much better cards

Wow, I had no idea! I haven't made it anywhere near the strip yet, but went with a Luck of 10 for the intial build, because I like criticals and there are no bobbleheads in this game.

I have not touched a casino (Vicki and Vance cuts you off at 2,500 chips won) and I have a little over 45,000 caps.

I bought the A.M.Rifle and the hunting shotty. I have mark 2 combat armor (reinforced) boone has metal armor+helm both reinforced.
ED-E has reinforced armor.

Caps are very easy to come by, I started with around 20 barter, but now I have it in the 80's

I have a HORDE of weapons, armor and ammo stock piled at novac.

I think you get 205-305 skill points depending on INT level. I figured up getting 14.5 per level odd level (15 on even, 14.5+14.5=30) and I am level 22, I get 116 more points. thats at least tow more skills to 60.

There is NO reason to ever take anything over 85 because of mags and books.

Huh, I'm having about average luck with gambling, which I guess makes since, seeing as how my Luck is 6. I tend to win more than I lose, but it feels pretty true to real life odds at the moment. I've hit one jackpot on the slots, but that was only a few hundred caps.

I'm sure the developer's assumed that someone who put all their points in Luck in a game based around Vegas that included gambling wanted to get better odds.

before I even hit the strip I got banned for winning too much at the atomic wrangler, now i'm banned at the gamorrah and the ultra lux, I would be banned from the tops but I kinda killed everyone there.
