The Van Graffs - popular with everybody?

Post » Tue Mar 29, 2011 10:52 pm

So far I had requests to deal with the Van Graffs from NCR, BoS and House, with Yesman leaving it to my choice.

I'm just curious if the Legion also wants 'em done in? How about the Followers?

Anybody else?

They sure are popular people

Add me to the list. They pissed me off too. I can't fix their store via modding. :-(

Loot yeah, but then their inventory is [censored] and won't refresh while other merchants do. :-)

The Van Graffs aren't exactly known for their good business ethics, considering the way they operate, it's no surprise that some people would hate them, and want to even things with them, we can see this in the task they give you to perform guard duty for them,
Spoiler
where one of the people who tries to visit the store, if you let him in, will activate an explosive, blowing them up. And if you insist on searching him before he can enter, he attacks you and you can find a revenge note on his body.
I figure it's no surprise that many groups would want you to kill them.

So far, though, the only quest I've recieved where I'm told to kill them is Cassidy's, and in that quest, you can just kill them or you can search for evidence to incriminate them, so far, I've yet to complete it either way.

Spoiler

You can complete it both ways and get both perks. Just make sure you have all the related quests done by then. Especially at Crimson's who are interjecting with Volare! among other things.

If you opt to kill them all there is an easier way to do so then just taking them head on.

When you walk in the door you will notice the door to your immediate left. If you start the shooting from the doorway you can step back into the room and take cover while VATS restores. Then you step out, get a few shots off and step back in. I have killed them all by using the cover method and taking them on face to face. Not sure if you would consider it a spoiler or a cheat but it made it vastly easier.

I don't mind the mafia nature of them, but attempt to kill a fellow companion of mine and what makes it worst is it has to be Cass. So I enjoy the slaughter after I get BoS to sell EW to me,

And even better you doesn't suffer any rep hit from Freeside even if you kill them openly.

It is shame that they don't have a firm gasp on anything in Vegas to make me think twice.

Really? I never got a quest from anyone but Cassidy for them. Curious.
