Pro-Benny Ending

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 12:52 pm

I've played through the game quite a few times, and noticed that if you play your cards just right you can wind up working for Benny without him trying to kill you in the Presidential. I was curious, is there any way to ride that storyline out and have the game end with Benny in charge? I don't know why, but that is a storyline I'd really like to pursue, but want to know if it is even possible before I put the hours in. Anyone done it?

Ah yes, working with "Benny". I thought we had dismissed that claim?

Ah yes, "Benny" the egotistical casino owner hellbent on taking New Vegas as his own. We've dismissed that claim.

Hm.... I wonder what would happen if you wiped out the Fort before Benny gets there. Would it even be possible?

You can, if you have high speech (or possibly some other skills) convince him that you forgive him. If you're a woman with the Black Widow perk you can err....sleep with him and that stops him from killing you. You can kill him in his sleep, too!

Precisely. So no matter what he ends up in Caesar's tent? Even after agreeing to work for him after passing the speech check? Lame. That would have been a great series of ending slides as a possible outcome for "Wild Card".

He says something about taking Vegas together when you free him from Caesars tent, but he just runs off and disappears from the game

As far as I'm aware, the only way to confront him at the Tops and not have to deal with some sort of firefight is to have the Black Widow perk. I'm fairly certain even telling him you forgive him triggers the ambush (guess he doesn't believe you :P )
