This is not a complaint thread.

First off I have XBox 360, so the following issue for F:NV (if there is such on PS3 I'm sorry I don't know how to fix it) I can help you fix if you have XBox.

I've noticed that after about an hour of play or even simply keeping your system on for over an hour in pause menu or in main menue the load times start to extend to unbelievable amounts. For me the load time started getting as long as 5 minutes long. Not to mention that even after you loaded it would freeze up a little after you loaded.

To solve this issue install F:NV to your HDD and everything will be better. Simple right?

As far as freezing up anywhere else throughout the game it still happens from time to time. I'm not sure how to fix this but my friends and I are going to see if there is a way we can do so.

So far installing it to my HDD has solved the load time issue but if it returns I'll update this with everything I have found out about it.

Thanks for the heads up. I noticed yesterday my load times were getting pretty ridiculous. I installed on my HDD before I went to bed and haven't played yet since then (at work now), but I figured it's gotta help something.

I wouldn't think so.

Definitely not, the game most definitely takes up over 4gb of space, or at least VERY close to that amount. Considering you need room for system files and saves on your HDD, installing isn't an option.

I would recommend going out and buying a bigger HDD though, they aren't too pricey and can come in handy when many games run faster after installation. A good investment, IMHO.

The game takes up 4.8 gigs so you will need to invest in a new Hard drive.

Bigger HDD is so nice. The day I got my 120 was an amazing day I went on a DL spree getting things I had to delete in the past and download new things that I didn't want to get because it would require me to delete things I really like.

Agreed. Everything loads much quicker. I can barely read the 'tidbits' on the loading screen before the game is on again. It also cuts down on the noise of your XBOX, the heat generated and wear on your disc & drive. All positive things.

True that. XBox powers on... little bit of noise... then silence... then gunshots! =D

xbox users should get larger hard drives. it is 150 or 250 gigs, i forgot which. many of my games crash way more often playing from the dvd player. such as oblivion and fable 2. often the dvd just isn't fast enough for these games.

I believe the new XBox (the tiny one) has a 250 built into it. I want to get it but I'm purchasing a new rifle soon so I can't spend the money on a new version of the system I currently own.

Sadly, MS nicles and dime you, their Hard Drives are grossly expensive. it amazes me so many people seem to accept Microsofts ripping off of people with its over rpiced peripherals. I can go to any tech store and buy a laptop HD @ 500 GB for 50 bucks for PS3. For my xbox? Ms charges 150 for a 250 GB drive you HAVE to get from MS, its ridiculous.

They should never have launched a console without a Hard drive, but they are so desperate to sell more then competitors they do it so they can have a cheap console that holds the entire Xbox back. Just another reason I am not a fan of Microshaf.

are xbox specific hard drives different from their PC counterparts?

ie will I find an xbox hard drive with 'xbox hardrive' written on the front among the xbox peripherals section in my local Gamestation?

yes they are different and MS charges twice as much.................... 360 has actually the most expensive console on the market, Ms nickles and dimes everyone. Ps3 uses PC laptop drives which are cheap and have a tonne of space, xbox uses special Xbox drives that they charge you a mint for.

4gb? You using a USB drive? IIRC, the smallest 360 HD is 20gb.

Yes they are different. Apart from you being required to have a XBox HDD to have DLC's / Install game they look neat and say HDD on the top. I havn't looked at mine in a while but i think they say XBox 360 on them. Not too sure though.

That's pretty stupid. The 20gb HDD was bad enough but a 4gb... I know saving money is a big issue for everyone but seriously?

It's not stupid at all. A lot of people already have Xbox's, but wanted the better machine (or a prettier one), so this was an affordable way to unplug your old HDD and put it into your new Slim. Saves them $100. Makes total sense to me.

Same thing happened to my 360. It has chilled out now but it just froze up for the first time today. I have been playing for like 4 or 5 hours though.
