Yes I read the Wiki...and Yes !!! I finally got it to work.

By entering and exiting the Silver Rush several times I got the conversations.

I went to every place on the map recommended by the wiki and the only place she ever said anything was in Niipton.

I spent hours searching, reloading saves..was almost tempted to do that shack console south of Helios to kick off her quest. ( And miss part of the Quest )

But I noticed that she would not enter the Silver Rush ..so I went back out to get her...and she spoke...went back in...she still didn't come in...went back out...another conversation...went back in...she came in this time and spoke the last conversation before her quest fired.

My last game when I had her we had just entered New Vegas when she wanted to go home....didn't even have to try.

This time I had to fudge it...without console or cheap work around.

I really wanted to start her quest so I can do EDE at the same time. Now I'm off to Hidden Valley...finally !

It looks like you failed to conclude conversations in all the related places. So they happened outside of Silver Rush when you finally stopped running around frantically and gave her a chance to speak to you. Too much hurry maybe?

i have problems to trigger her quest too, i ve been to nipton,nelson,old mormont fort and spoke to Julie Farkas,Camp Mc Carren to both places (tried to talk to her after talking to the OSI guy and running around the base for minimum 30 mins , also tried to talk to her in the main building almost every spot) Casa Madrid Appartments while doing the white wash and she never said a thing at all, neither by herself or me talking to her to check if she had new conversations , i found a thread saying that a guy in 3 playtroughs she never triggered it , i'm going to try to bring her to Nellis AF base and vault 3 and if she's not talking i ll ditch her

Edit: Nellis AF base is a no go ,Vault 3 dont work either , im about to give up, the only place she spoke was at Silver Rush and thats it i went to all the places mentionned on the wiki and in my Prima strategy guide

She cracked for me after clearing out some Fiends in Westside.

I don't think there is any set way to do it, its general game progression that gets her to tell you she wants to go home (starts the quest).

im stuck on this quest aswell, i went to vault 11 i believe and finished the side quest there and she finally said something to me but she wont say anything whenever i take her anywhere else iv done all the missions revolving around the locations posted on wiki she just wont start the next part of it i dont even have the quest yet but she said something to me about how the bos isnt even acknowledged in vault 11 or something. iv done the quest before in an older game but how can i bypass this and use the terminal at gibsons? when i went there it was locked she was with me aswell...

I had problems when I twice tried to start her quest after I was lvl 10. It may have been starting the BOS quests before I got her quest going. I restarted and made sure that I didn't talk to teh BOS before I triggered all three conversations. I went first to the boomers little kid who lectures you on their history, then to the "scientist" in Camp McCarren, and I don't remember which I chose for the third, but it worked. I've made it to choosing which tech to find.

i just finally was able to get this quest to work, i went to camp hope or fort hope or camp forlorn hope i believe it is and soon as i FT'ed there she said something so i talked to her and it work, i then re tried everywhere else and nothing until nellis air base listening to the kid i listened to it before and she didnt say anything this time she did and the quest is no longer bugged for me. perhaps the camp is also another spot she cant start this quest wiki does not know about

Thanks for the tip ogreb! I got Veronica's quest to finally trigger @ Silver Rush, except she actaully followed me into the store. She walked passed the weapons counter and said "holy crap that is a lot of energy weapons" and then her quest triggered. :thumbsup:
