Hard Hat Required : Fallout: New Vegas

Early on, I found and picked up a yellow Construction hat. Many days later while exploring, I came upon a door with a sign that said 'Hard Hat Required'. I did not have my hat on me and now can't remember where that door is. Is it possible, that the door would open if you were wearing the hard hat?

Very doubtful. I am unaware of any hard hat detecting doors.

It looks to be just an article of clothing, that has a DT of 2.

I think the hardhat only door is in the abandoned warehouse. I was gonna TCL through there to see if there was anything behind it, but didn't. Maybe I'll give it a shot. I believe that warehouse is part of a Silver Rush sidequest that happens after you let them

I wondered what that thing was for... Guess it was worth going through the Chud tunnel behind Nellis after all.
