Right, one of the major reasons I couldn't stand fallout 3 was because the game was a complete joke in terms of difficulty even on very hard. Granted New Vegas gives a better challenge then fallout 3 at least so in my opinion. I remember how bethseda managed to turn the super mutants to a complete joke in fallout 3 (they should have never done that).

I just killed a nightkin with 2-3 shots from my shotgun and he had a minigun.... As you can probably guess i'm right now doing some minor quests in novac (level 7) and there hasn't been any challenge or a difficult passage for me so far in the game.


Stupidly easy games for me = waste of my time and intelligence, please tell me fallout new vegas isn't one of them.


Please tell me this is nothing like fallout 3, please tell me I will find much much harder enemies/bosses or challenges later on ?

Stray from the main quest for a moment and report back

Go fight some cazadores if you want difficulty.

Or deathclaws.../

Alright I'll explore the wasteland trying to find deathclaws (they were very hard in fallout 1-2) and cazadores!!!

Agree. I died to both of those when i encountered them. I was level 3 :shakehead:

Go to Black Mountain the super mutants there are sort hard to kill at least for me their armor protects them from everything

when i got to lvl 12, the difficulty jumped WAY up. with Deathclaws and Brutes popping up and two-shotting me. now i need AP ammo and all that.

I just went to the quarrel to face of some death claws.

Boone and that robot are my 2 followers and i'm using an M16A1 my self.

To my suprise the first young death claw died of a couple of shots from my M16.

That was unti l I faced a group of death claws, 3 seconds later boone died, 4 seconds later my head got chopped off :foodndrink: :fallout:

Faced off mutants at the black mountain, although they arent as easy as they were in fallout 3, but they are still way too soft.

Right now i'm owning their entire camp just by using an m16 (level 7)

Remember SM in fallout 2? They would eat you alive

You also have two companions...since the companions are incredibly overpowered and win half the fights for you, you can always do what I did.

I went into the GECK and turned all their weapon damage values down to 1. That way, I can still get the story/company, but they don't do the fighting for me.

It'll certainly help ramp up the difficulty for you, if you have the PC version.

I'm enjoying the game a lot more now that I actually get to participate in the fights. :goodjob:

The Difficulty level is brutal with those Cazador's. One hit is at least 75-80 damage or 1/4 of your health. Rediculous! Wait til you find a herd of Nightstalkers too. *Great graphics btw gamesas, That is just a phenominal model.*
If you want tons and tons of difficulty. Kill the bas**** outside Nellis AFB before hearing what he has to say, and then try to make it to Nellis. That my friends, on hardcoe mode. Incredibly insanely difficult.
