Wrong outfit means I can't complete mission?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 10:44 am

Hi all.

I've just freed Beagle in the My Kind Of Town mission in Primm (early doors in the game). When I went back into the Vikki & Vance casino, I was accidentally wearing a Powder Gang outfit, and now they all try and shoot me whenver I set foot in there. Because of a silly mistake, I don't appear to now be able to complete the mission. Any suggestions how I get them to stop shooting and killing me the minute I set foot in there? Last non-auto-save was a while back, and as I'm new to this game, don't want this to spoil it for me so soon... :(

Any help appreciated!

Thanks,
CSBBB.

...Take the uniform off?

Or possibly, kill one of the NRC guards and wear his uniform in. Maybe it will overwrite the PG outfit.

Friend, don't wear a Powder Ganger's outfit.
Why would you even put it on?
Now you must go back to a savegame... your own fault.

Because it had better protection than anything else I had? Because it enabled me to take out the nearby powder gangers by sneaking up on them and getting a VATS headshot twice in one action? Doesn't seem that illogical to me, but I guess it wasn't signposted well enough to me what would happen if I opened that particular door whilst wearing that particular outfit.

In any case, the game is going back today anyway. I put up with all the crashes, lockups and glitches on Fallout 3, but I'm not prepared to give Bethesda my money a second time for the same broken game. I'm voting with my wallet on this one! I'll probably come back to it when it's in the bargain bins for a tenner, but I don't pay £35 and expect to reset my playstation once an hour (as happened last night).

Enjoy the game, chaps! I'll be checking out Red Dead Redemption instead.

Obsidian made New Vegas. Red Dead is alright, rent it before you fork over the cash for it.
