You can convert any other energy ammo into ECP at the science bench. Blue bench between store and saloon in Goodsprings for example.

I NEVER buy energy ammo. I use whatever I find or loot from enemies (Granted, I really don't use the energy weapons much, so ammo use is low). You can convert and recycle energy ammo at the workbench/science bench. It's actually one of the few crafting things I actually do.

I buy whatever I can. It's not a very common ammo and one trip to Promontory with Multiplas typically leaves me dry. 100% energy players always buys all he can.

Yup. If you use it, then it'll be like me having to buy most of my conventional gun ammo.

But still, the point both of us made remains. You can convert energy ammo and recycle spent ammo at the bench for no cost.

Goodspring and Primm sell surprisingly decent amount of energy packs.

If your going for packrat perk around that point small cells hit 2 caps each... you can then convert those to ecp 2 ecp to 1 small cell and thus not lose any money in the process.

As for where ti buy ecp straight out... chet sells them some wandering merchants do.. the dino bites does.. silver rush does.

But if you have the recharger pistol farm fiends for energy ammo...

Don't go Packrat? It's one horrible perk with insane requirement. High Barter and lower weight both are completely unnecessary.
