My problem is when I start Fallout NV after the intro the game crashs.
and whe Steam Checks my Game-Caches, it says that one file is missing it would get requested. But nothing happend.

i have triede both and when i start fallout now i can′t choose anything by disply settings. And so i can′t start the geme because it says then:
Failed to initialize renderer.Your display doesn′t support the selected resolution. Please set a different resolution in Fallout: New Vegas′s Launcher under "Display settings".

Your system doesn't know what your monitor supports; check your monitor drivers and video card drivers


Also, try Nirsoft's InstalledCodecs utility, This allows you to disable/enable codecs without uninstalling/reinstalling them. Try disabling all codecs EXCEPT those from Microsoft, , Fraunhofer, and Spiro. You just reenable one or more if it makes no difference or you want to find the culprit or you actually need the codecs.
