Windows XP Professional (pretty sure it's 32 bit)
Radeon HD 4200 graphics card
Pentium Dual Core CPU 2.50 GHZ
3.50 RAM
Plenty of HD space.
Okay. For the first week or so, I didn't have a single crash or problem. There was the odd missing typewriter animation, but nothing serious.
Last friday I attempted adding some mods. Fellout, some weapons, an overhaul to the repair system, etc.
Everything went to hell. I tried turning off the mods, still crashing. I un and reinstalled, still crashing. I restricted the FFDShow codec from interacting with FalloutNV.exe, still crashing. I updated my graphics driver, still crashing.
Right now, the most common crash (about 90% of the time) is that I'll play for ten or twenty minutes and everything feels fine, but suddenly the sound will cut out or the dialogue will disappear and the text dialogue speeds up it's scrolling. That means a CTD or FULL SYSTEM FREEZE is seconds away every time.
I'm...upset. I love this game and desperately want to play and eventually add some mods, but I can't play for ten minutes without a forced reset of my system.
Is it something with MY computer or is this something I'm just going to have to wait for a patch?
Please help.
