Steam 1.3 Patch

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 3:50 pm

I bought the game off of steam and it "updated" but when I checked the properties of the launcher I'm still on version 1.214. Is there a way to manually patch the game? Normally steam is flawless with updates.

Also, I tried disabling my mods/updated NVSE.

Same problem here! No matter what I do, Steam won't update the damn game, I'm stuck on 1.214. I don't run any mods, the game is vanilla with Dead Money DLC. Contacted Steam about it, no response so far.

Did you actually load a game, hit ESC, and check the version under the HELP menu option? The launcher exe may not have actually changed "version"...mine says the same thing in Explorer but says 1.3 in-game, and the FalloutNV.exe file itself says 1.3 even via Explorer/Properties. Edit: you can also tell via the changes to some of the weapons dmg and fire rates etc.

Not even going to ask why it says "1.2.0.352" in-game and "1.2.14.0" in the properties window, what matters is none of them are 1.3. Also, in-game stats are unchanged, rockets still weigh 3.00, etc.

Yeah, I checked the menu.

My Gobi does 40 dmg.
Mods are still cheap.
Etc.

If the mods & weapons aren't being affected, then it does sound like their game isn't updating. Unfortunately I have no help to offer...it sounds like it's a Steam issue. All I can say is to keep trying to update it, see if it finally works.
Or re-install Steam/the game. Maybe something went a little weird with one of the actual Steam (not NV patch) updates at some point.

ZWarden, what country are you from? I'm beginning to suspect it might be a regional issue.

Poop, I have a bandwidth cap that I just exceeded, so not a possibility.
