So I did some of the quests for the Caravan company, and then it said to go talk to Cass. When I talk to her she refuses to do anything, and then my speech svcks so there is no way I can convince her to come along with me. Do I have to do more quests with the Caravan company before I can convince her to come with me. Help!

No. You could kill her yourself.

But the dude Julias or whatever his name is says he wants me to escort her to Silver Rush to talk to her. If I kill her won't that mess up the quest chain?

No. He just wants her dead. He's trying to con you into bringing her to him so he can do it, but if you do it yourself, he finds that acceptable.

Ah, but she is in that bar surrounded by NRC peeps. I have good standing with them now, I guess I'll do a quick save before I own her, but will that mess me up with the NCR then?

You're murdering someone in their base. They won't take kindly to it, I'll tell you that.

Maybe I can just use a stealth boy and ninja the kill.. Knowing how poorly the game works with stealth, I doubt it'll work. I'll let you know how it goes when I get home from work!

You could just maybe leave it & do other things, raise some skills, maybe get barter or Speech upto 30 or 40 then use a skill book that gives you +10 or +20 (+ 20 if you took the Comprehension perk ) i think the minimum is 50 for Speach or Barter.


Obviously If your playing a really Evil character then kill her when you can, as your an Evil bastard & do your own killing

Or If your in the gray take her to the SIlver rush and if inclined, help defend her or take her down whichever takes your please :gun:

And if your a good person then you wont hurt Cass at all, becasue the VanGraffs are evil & in the wrong :angel:

Not sure if this would work , but I have used it a couple of times; put some C-4 behind her, go in the other room,crouch down in hiding and use a detonator. I could not do that to her but I have done it to others with no loss of karma.

Let me get this straight. Cass is a "B" for not doing what you want, but you're the one trying to murder her.

Well she was rude and hurt my feeling when she told me I was like a bad habit that won't go away! So C-4 to her face it is!

Did you buy the Naughty Nightwear, select the comprehension perk or make any Party Time mentats? I did all 3 and can pass most speech checks with a base Speech skill around 20.

I convinced her to follow me and my speech is terrible!

killing poeple without loosing any karma is too easy in this game, you know that knight in the same ncr base, the one you can repair your gear with, well i pllayed all game long doing my repairs there and he had about 120 000 caps, hide behind the counter, use a stealthboy and steal back your money, you might need a few tries but it works. Or use a stealthboy hide behind counter and oneshot him with the sniper riffle and loose no karma and walk out with ncr guards waving at you. I reloaded my game and picked his pockets instead thinking i might need the bastard later on but.. nop he's useless except for his repair skills.
