Without spoiling anything, suffice it to say that I found a man named Anders on a crucifix outside of Cottonwood Cove. However, when entering dialogue with him, i am not given an option to take him off, even though he requests it. Can anyone explain this?

You can't recover anyone from a crucifix in the game, the game says that they would die if you did (realistic).

Wait till he's dead, then come back 3 days later to his tomb and find he's gone, "The Easter Bunny Gambit" quest starts. You end of finding him in Freeside, at the atomic wrangler, very much alive. When you enter dialouge, he then starts floating in the air and acsends to the Atomic heavens where he watches all.

and then your character founds a new religion.

See, the thing is, I think he may tie into a mission involving contacting the faction he belongs to and switching their allegiance. I guess I'll just kill him then.
