steam validation over and over and over...

alright, haven't played on steam since before the first DLC, as i've switched to xbox. decided to fire it up and get the DLC for pc as well, primarily for modding. started steam, downloaded the DLC (and whatever patches have arrived in the past months) and the game would not load initially. got the game to load, but the geck is now mostly useless as well, since it won't import the data from the game's main data file (falloutnv.esm). the suggestion to validate the game data is not helpful, as after i validate and the file is reacquired it still fails to pass validation. i've gone so far as deleting all local content from the PC and redownloaded everything all over again, nothing changes. i only bought the DLC for PC for the resources for use in the geck. i can play on the xbox, but i'm out twenty bucks for the useless pc DLC. and the geck is still broken even without the DLC. so i guess i'm looking for update on ETA on a working product?

if the patch AND the GECK are not both fixed, i probably need to start asking how to get my $20 back on the PC DLC - since i already have it on the xbox it's completely useless to me on the PC without the GECK.

decent system running windows 7 32-bit; more than adequate vid, ram, etc.
yes, i'm using the latest version of the GECK, but it still won't read the original game resources.

is there anyone on this, now that the fallout staff has (presumably) completed the DLCs and has been let go? i especially fear for the GECK if development on the future DLCs has been completed, 'cause then they would have no internal incentive to keep the GECK functional; and since this is also presumably the end of the GECK in favor for the new engines of skyrim, idtech, etc.

What file is failing the validation. Check in your steam folder for gamevalidation.log
Installscript.vdf will fail each time. Its a common issue that doesnt effect the game.

What exactly is the issue with the GECK. I can load falloutnv.esm in my GECK. Is there an error message?
