I seem to be stuck in loading screen, doesn't matter if I load a previous auto-save none of them loads. Running on PC, no mods the only "mod" I have is the ATI-fix. I have Dead Money and Honest Hearts. (on Update 6)

Anyone else experiencing this bug, or does anyone know of a fix? It's really pissing me off... Playing all over again is NOT an option for me. I mean, I'm level 28, I have over 40 000 caps and I have completed most quests. (And no way I'm playing Dead Money again)

If it helps, the quest I was on when this bug happened is "I Put A Spell On You" and I was inside that radio-tower. Tried reinstalling, nothing... Is the save game corrupt?

This happend to me some hours ago.If you are using mods maybe you forgot to desactvacte mods you are using together like Readius and a pip-boy retexture.

As said, I have no mods. I really hope this will get fixed in a new update.

I have the same issue, once I try to load a save the application just hangs task manager says FO:NV is "Not responding". After I manually kill the application event viewer states:

Interestingly when I verify the game cache from Steam is tells me:

1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired.

Doesn't say which file and has happened twice now.

I had this problem too, when the 1.3 patch installed i mean. After several posts of different users on the forums, some found that having the Q-35 matter modulator Plasma Gun in their inventory was the cause of the endless loading, mine too as well. So i had to put away this gun from my inventory/gameplay. But now that i finished Honest hearts and that I'm in the Mojave, it happens to me almost every hour or so, AGAIN. I fear it's a similar problem that is happening here. I know that i got my .45 pistol and Joshua Armor almost every time on me. But i don't want to dump them and never use them again, I mean, you put weapons and armors in a game, they're supposed to be used by the player every time he wants.

So right now, if you want to keep your weapons, if you can't load your save properly, load a previous save first than load your latest after. If that happens in travel/cell loading, well i can't say anything more than restarting your game. I don't have anymore advice, sorry, i hope someone else got something more useful than me :\.

I have Joshua's armor, it's pretty random that the game has to stop working for that... And I have no previous saves, I have one autosave and one quicksave, none of them work.

I hope my saves aren't corrupt.

I get this. It is not reproducible. I keep having to update an 818 byte file. It sometimes hits at loading a start, but it usually hits at fast travel. I think my luck is better when I am fast traveling alone, and not in stealth. Fast travel to the North Gate of The Strip is particularly problematic.

I have been able to reproduce this error and I think the source is from editing the Fallout_default.ini files (which i do to get rid of mouse acceleration and vsync). If i change the file back to the original, everything loads fine. There is a workaround to keep your edited ini file and still load saves. You just have to start a new game then in the menu load your desired save and it should work.
