Question for the ps3 gamers

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 1:40 pm

I made the choice of getting brink on the 360 and graphically its awful as I am sure your all aware, the question is how does the ps3 version look because I have looked at some footage on youtube and graphically it looks so much better although on YT the 360 version looks fine but the reality is very different,
now can I get some serious opinions on the ps3 version because I do own a ps3 and I am tempted to trade the 360 version in for a ps3 copy but I don't want to bother if its not that much different,
so I need some veteran gamers to give me some honest feedback because I love this game but I ain't prepared to play it looking like this anymore especially if I can get a superior version on my ps3

So whats the verdict my fellow gamers how does it look?

well i have a 1080p 120 Hz refresh rate with a 150,000:1 contrast ratio hdtv. i have played nearly all first person shooters, and many other types of games. i have been games for YEARS, I honestly haven't seen any problems with the texture pop in that other people have been talking about, and i think the graphics are pretty good. Now there not like cod's life like graphics, more cartoonish but still good.. But i would have to say if there is any it's definitely not as bad as the 360 version.

My 2 cents.

PS3 version is only 720P, Xbox 360 is 1080P. It really comes down to what your TV can handle and the system you own. I am still frickin pissed they DUMBED down yet another port to the PS3. It still looks decent on PS3 but I know it could have looked SO MUCH BETTER if they would have made it 1080P.

I don't think it is 1080p on 360, I have a decent LG 1080p tv all other games look superb but brink looks like a last gen game low res 'if any.

Asides from being a bit jagged and pixel-ish in some details, the PS3 version is absolutely fine. Not as good as some shooters, but no worse than what you might see in BC2. There are still texture pop-ins, but they're quick and painless unlike what I've been hearing about on 360. Though from screenshots, the 360 seems to handling lighting & contrast better.

I like the graphics. No glitches or anything. Sometimes in Cutscenes the textures need 0,3 seconds to load but only if you look closely. It seems to be an Xbox exclusive Problem.

check out lensoftruth comparison...heavily favors ps3 in every category.

the real question is your own friends and actual number of human players.

but from the sounds of it, joining a game with friends is difficult due to no party/clan system to migrate the non-existent lobbies.
